Book driving lessons with confidence
At AllTrain we are lucky enough to have a pool of qualified and experience driving instructors. This means that they have completed a rigorous I endorsement license course and passed. Not only are they fully and correctly qualified but they have plenty of experience of working with people of all walks of life and getting the best out of them in readiness to sit either their Class 1 Restricted or Full License.
No license = No lesson
You must always bring your driver's license for your lesson.
Our purpose and approach
Our primary aim is to help you become a skilled and responsible driver, regardless of your capability, age, gender, background, or ethnicity. Our focus is on working through the essential skills and requirements needed to bring you up to test standard, ensuring that you not only pass the test but also become a confident and safe driver. We take pride in creating a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where you can enjoy the learning process and build your confidence while navigating the roads.
Course details
Our dedicated instructors are here to assist you every step of the way, helping you achieve your driving goals with ease. Together, we'll make sure you gain the necessary skills and knowledge to keep yourself and others safe on the road.
A lesson can be conducted in either your own vehicle or ours. If you choose to use your own vehicle, please ensure the following:
The interior is clean and tidy.
The vehicle has a current Warrant Of Fitness and has had its last required service.
There is enough fuel in the vehicle to complete the lessons.
The tires are legal and in good condition.
All lights are in working order.
You must have 2 x L plates.
If any of the above requirements are not met, the lesson will not commence, and the cost of the lesson will be forfeited.

Note: Payment is required before each lesson. We require a min of 48 hours cancellation for no charge. Within 24 hours is 50% charge and within 12 hours is 100% charge.
What you need to know
What to expect
At the start of the first lesson, the instructor will talk to you about your vehicle experience and ascertain your capabilities. From here, your lessons and subsequent lessons will be structured around your progress and ability to practice in between lessons.
We keep notes, so don’t be alarmed if we are writing while you are driving, this is so we can refresh what was last learned and build on this during the coming lesson.
Remember: we are here to guide you, the more you practice what you have learned in the lesson the better you will get and the quicker you will learn, saving you time and money.

If outside the city boundary, additional costs may be applied.
Lesson Structure
The lesson follows a structured format:
10 minutes: Catch up on the previous lesson, discussing your driving experiences between sessions and identifying areas for improvement or practice.
40 minutes: Engage in practical exercises to reinforce existing skills, introduce new ones, and enhance your knowledge to become a confident and safe driver.
10 minutes: Debrief on the lesson, providing you with valuable pointers to practice.
When it's time to book your NZTA test, we will give you approximately 3-4 weeks' notice in advance. This allows us to find a suitable date and address any areas needing improvement. If we believe you aren't ready a week before the test, we will advise postponing it. We will never recommend a test unless we are confident in your abilities to pass.
As the test date approaches, we'll cover all possible driving scenarios you may encounter during the test. Mock tests will be conducted, providing feedback for focused practice.
Should you not pass the test on your first attempt following our recommendation, you'll receive a free post-fail lesson to work on any areas of concern.
