Accelerated Course Class 2 Licence Learners, Logbook & Full Licence
This course covers the Learner Licence Theory, Log Book (US)24089 and Class 2 Licence (US)17574 Theory & practical test.
Course Details
DAY 1
(Half-day) - Learner Licence
We guide you through the class 2 learner licence theory so you are well-read and have a clear understanding of the road rules and legal obligations of holding a Class 2 licence. You will then need to go to VTNZ and undertake the test; ideally on the same day.
DAY 2
(1 day) Logbook (US24089)
This is an integral part of holding a truck licence of any class and a lot of emphasis is put on this part of the course. This day consists of theory and test papers.
DAY 3 / 4
(Half-day theory and then a 2-3 hour practical) - Class 2 Licence (US17574)
This day consist of the theory side of the class 2 licence, which is then put in to practice with a pre-drive and practical test.
NB: You may be required to complete your drive on Day 4.

What you need to know
Relevant facts
Once you have passed your Class 2 Licence, you need to take your certificate and apply to VTNZ or AA. This is an additional cost to the student.
Points to note
Students MUST hold a current full car licence and for at least 6 months.
Students are advised to have experience with driving a manual vehicle.
Students MUST have a current DL9 medical in order to sit their learner licence. (This cannot be older than 60 day’s at the time of sitting LL).
The initial cost of the learner licence is covered within the course fees.
If you fail it, you will need to resit the test at your own cost.
